On Tuesday 10 July, our Director Prof Graham Le Gros spoke with Andrew Patterson from RadioLIVE, about a recent study published in the US. The research showed that children who lived with dogs or cats in the first year of their lives got sick less frequently than kids from pet-free zones.
This study supports the current belief that overly clean environments may not be the best thing for our young children, and Prof Le Gros gives his thoughts on why this might be.
