You can champion our charity by becoming a Friend of the Malaghan Institute. Our Friends love the feeling of giving something back to their community and we appreciate their unstinting support.
Our incredible Friends are a powerhouse for our leading edge research helping build our connections throughout New Zealand. Some give us a couple of hours here and there helping out with fundraising and events planning in their local community, or suggesting local groups to present our science to. Others contribute by advocating for the Institute across their own professional and personal networks.
Friends of the Malaghan Institute are currently active in Auckland, Hawke's Bay, Taupo and Wellington.
Whatever your skills and interests, and no matter how much time you have to spare, contact our Development Team to find out if volunteering for us works for you.
The Auckland, Hawke's Bay, Taupo and Wellington Friends of the Malaghan Institute hold annual charity golf tournaments in late spring each year.
In the past 18 years, close to $1.7 million dollars has been raised in these regions to support our hard working scientists. Local sponsors, Malaghan supporters and the business community come together to ensure the success of these events. Please join us.
To register your interest for our golf tournaments, please contact Laura Golland, Development Manager.
