What protein of the influenza virus is the NZ influenza vaccine (influvac) targeted against?

The influenza vaccine is designed to generate an immune response against the protein, Haemagglutinin, which is specific to the influenza virus.

The NZ influenza vaccine contains haemagglutinin protein from the 3 most common strains of influenza that flu season. These vaccines use haemagglutinin proteins derived from dead viral particles so there is no chance of catching the flu by getting vaccinated.
