Professor Graham Le Gros

Professor Graham Le Gros is the Director (Chief Executive) of the Malaghan Institute. was appointed to the Trust Board in 1995.

Awarded a Fogarty Fellowship at the National Institutes of Health, Washington DC from 1987–1989, Graham then took a scientist position with Ciba-Geigy in Basel Switzerland for five years before returning to New Zealand to take up the position of Research Director of the Malaghan Institute in 1994.

In addition, Graham is also a Professor of the School of Biological Sciences, Victoria University of Wellington. A Fellow of the Royal Society of New Zealand, in 2014 he was made a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit for his services to medical research.
