PhD Studies
The Institute has an international reputation as a cutting-edge medical research and training facility, housing New Zealand’s brightest and most creative scientists, doctoral students and post-doctoral fellows. We have a long-standing affiliation with the Universities of New Zealand and are held in high regard as one of the leading organisations for students to complete a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in Immunology.
Upon completion of a PhD the students often go overseas for post-doctoral experience in their chosen field. Many of those who completed their PhD at the Malaghan Institute now work in respected laboratories throughout Australia, Europe and the USA.
