Our people

One of the key goals of the Malaghan Institute is to benefit and bring hope to the New Zealand community through scientific research, education and application of new knowledge. We have a commitment to educating, fostering and developing scientists, which we regard as essential to the continuing success of scientific research in New Zealand.

The Malaghan Institute is currently home to over 80 researchers and support staff working within six core research programmes - cancer, asthma and allergy, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, infectious diseases and immunoglycomics.

Supporting the Malaghan Institute's mission and promoting awareness of our research activities are the tireless members of the Malaghan Institute Trust Board and Friends Committees.
