Breast cancer
Glioblastoma multiforme
Cancer is responsible for almost a third of the deaths in New Zealand, and affects the lives of almost all of us in some way. Cancer is a result of some our body’s own cells mutating and multiplying out of control. Because the cancer is essentially part of our own body our immune system does not recognise it as dangerous and destroy it.
Our cancer research is being undertaken by the following three groups:
Group Leader: Prof Mike Berridge
Group Leader: Prof Franca Ronchese
Group Leader: Dr Ian Hermans
