Our people

More than 90 researchers and support staff work in our core programmes – cancer, asthma and allergy, arthritis, multiple sclerosis and infectious diseases.

We have a commitment to educating, fostering and developing scientists to ensure the continuing success and excellence of scientific research in New Zealand.

The Malaghan Institute Trust Board and Friends Committees throughout the country support our mission and promote awareness of our research activities.

The Malaghan's Cell Technology Suite Team, led by Kylie Price, is responsible for the training and support of scientists using our advanced technology platforms such as flow cytometry and microscopy.

Development team

We develop and nurture relationships with people and organisations outside the Institute. We are the people to contact for all fundraising and communications enquiries.

Finance team

Our team, led by David Lin, works alongside the Director, Chief Operating Officer and Group Leaders to ensure that funds received by the Institute are administered appropriately.

Operations team

Our goal is to provide an environment in which scientific breakthroughs will happen. Our infrastructure, technologies and people must remove any obstacles and give our researchers all the tools they need.
