The Malaghan Institute has over 85 research scientists and support staff working towards the development of more effective immune-based therapies for the treatment of diseases such as cancer, asthma & allergy, diseases of inflammation, multiple sclerosis and infectious disease. We also have a team dedicated to the emerging research field of gut immunology.
Our staff are drawn from all over the world and we are proud of our international reputation as a leading research and training facility for scientists interested in undertaking cutting-edge biomedical research.

While immunology is the major focus of our research (most research staff have a background in immunology) we also employ clinicians, chemists, physiologists, molecular biologists, biochemists and flow cytometry staff.
Our dedicated support staff include Finance, Development Operations, Facilities, Reception, I.T. and Administration teams.
